Blesso Properties purchased a run-down building just blocks from the Presidential Palace in Panama City’s Casco Viejo historic district in 2008. The property was converted to the city’s first boutique hotel, featuring a 70-seat restaurant, bar and lounge and a rooftop bar offering breathtaking views of the historic district. The project is widely considered a driver in the transformation of the Casco Viejo neighborhood. Today, Tantalo Hotel is an institution and is one of the most successful and profitable operations in Panama City.
